Purpose and access
These terms govern the use of BelleImage, published by EURL ZENATI, whose details appear in the legal notice. They are available before any account is created.
BelleImage compresses, converts and resizes still images. Processing is free and requires an account.
How it works
You add up to 20 images of 20 MiB and 40 million pixels each, choose an action, follow the processing and download the results. Files stay on your device until you start processing; they are then uploaded and processed on the server.
Animated and multipage files are refused. PSD uses the embedded flattened image; ICNS uses the largest embedded icon. The available formats are listed in the workspace.
Optional account
You can create a free account or sign in with an email address and a one-time code received by email. Use an address you control and keep your codes confidential; temporary or disposable addresses are refused. The account is used to find your data again on several devices.
You can delete your data, or your account with all its data, from your account. Deleting data from the service does not erase copies you have already exported or downloaded.
Account and history
The account gives access to the history of your results on your other devices. Files and processing records expire 90 days after their own creation, even with an account. You can delete them sooner from the workspace or your history.
A free service
BelleImage is free for everyone. Every feature is included, with no paid plan and no advertising.
Checking results
Compression may affect quality and reduce dimensions to try to reach a target size; the result flags an unmet target. Exports use 8 bits per channel. Formats without transparency use white backgrounds; GIF is limited to 256 colours, PGM to greyscale, and PBM/XBM to black and white. ICO is limited to 256 pixels per side. Metadata preservation depends on the format. Some formats cannot be previewed in your browser. Check the downloaded file before use and keep the original.
The service may reject an incompatible file, excessive processing requirements or excessive use. It limits each user to 30 processing jobs per five-minute period. It is not a permanent archive.
Permitted use
You are responsible for the content you submit. You must hold the rights needed to use the information it contains, in particular information about other people.
It is forbidden to use the service for unlawful content, to infringe the rights of others, to impersonate someone, to access other users' data or to circumvent technical protections and limits. Use that compromises security or availability may be interrupted or restricted.
The service is reserved for people aged 16 or over.
Personal data
The content you submit is sent to the service and its host to be processed and stored, with or without an account. The categories of data, recipients, retention periods and rights are described in the privacy policy. Using the service does not replace the obligations that apply to you when you submit data about other people.
Intellectual property
You keep your rights over the content you submit and over the files produced. You authorise the technical operations needed for the service, in particular the transmission, storage and processing of that content.
The elements of the site and the software used remain subject to their respective rights and licences.
Availability and liability
The service may experience interruptions, in particular for maintenance, incidents or overload. You can report a problem from the Contact page.
Each party is liable for the breaches attributable to it under the applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability or a right that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
Reports and complaints
To report unlawful content or abnormal access, or to contest a restriction, use the report contact details. State the facts, the date and the email address of the account concerned, and give us a way to reply to you.
Changes and applicable law
These terms may change with the service. The version and its update date are published on this page.
French law applies, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers in their country of residence. In the event of a dispute, you can first send a complaint to EURL ZENATI. The competent court is determined by the ordinary rules of law.
These terms are published in French, English, German, Spanish and Italian. In the event of a discrepancy, the French version prevails.
